Our Family
We have a truly amazing family and love spending time with them. Family game nights, bon fires, impromptu dinners and so much more fill up our schedules. Holidays, especially Christmas is our favorite! We have so many family traditions that we are excited to share with your child. These include getting the biggest Christmas tree that will fit in our living room the day after Thanksgiving, putting out our nativity, baking cookies, 'minute to win it' games, Christmas Eve church service, Grandpa’s bread pudding pancakes with vanilla custard on Christmas morning, Santa coming to visit on Christmas Day and so much more.
We are blessed to have our family close by! Steve’s parents live a mile down the road. Steve is one of 4 boys in his family, he has two older brothers who are married, and a younger brother who is finishing out his senior year of high school. We have a 5 year old niece who is very excited to have a cousin or two!
Abby’s side of the family also lives nearby. Everyone including both sets of our Grandparents who are eagerly awaiting becoming Great Grandparents live within an hour of our home. We see Abby’s family for Sunday dinners after Church and sailing. We tend to be a little competitive so there is usually some type of game involved. Abby is the oldest of 4 siblings. Like Steve, Abby also has siblings who are much younger than her. She has a bother who is senior in high school and a sister who is a junior.
We are also very close with our Church family and that are a huge part of our lives. From the worship team which Steve is part of (he plays guitar and is also on the sound team), the kid's ministry team which Abby is part of (she teaches on Sunday and loves helping out during Vacation Bible School in the summer). We also are part of a small group that meets on a regular basis to fellowship and dive into God's word. Our church family loves us, and we love them. Through life's ups and downs we can always count on them!
